Ready to start your fostering journey?

In order to be considered to become a Foster Carer with FFI, you must meet the following essential criteria:

  • You must be over 25 years of age.

  • You need to have a spare room.

  • You must hold a full and valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

  • You must have flexibility in your working arrangements.

  • If fostering as a couple, you will need to have been together for three years and living together for at least one year.

  • If you have children, your youngest child must be at least 3 years of age.
