Enhanced Placements

When you need us to go that bit further

Some children and young people in foster care need additional support over and beyond the high-quality care that comes with a standard placement, sometimes just to get through a particularly difficult period of time.

For these children, FFI offers enhanced placements. In addition to the benefits of our standard placement, an enhanced placement comes with:

• Increased carer allowance (subject to agreement with Tusla)
• More link social work support visits and contact
• Additional educational support, including tuition and in-home education options if needed
• Comprehensive therapeutic support
• Up to two hours of child care support per week
• Meetings with all of the professionals on the Key Care Team
• Extra respite nights if needed
