Our Trip to Scotland With FFI.

Ben and Brian are two brothers from Cork who were asked to come to Scotland as part of Team Ireland for our annual football tournament in late July. The boys rate Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as their two favourite footballers in the world.

We recently had the chance to catch up with the boys to talk about the trip and what they thought of the experience.

It was a really great weekend, we got to meet people from all over Ireland and it was really nice to make so many new friends, said Ben.

We both really love football and wanted to do our best. My favourite part of the weekend was scoring goals and making new friends added Brian.

Brian said that he, loved getting a trophy. It’s much better than a medal and you can show it to everyone.

When asked to rate the weekend out of 10, the boys gave the following responses;

Ben “I would give it 8.5 out of 10. The only thing I didn’t like was the mashed potato we had for dinner on Saturday as it tasted different”.

Brian “I really liked the trip and wouldn’t change a thing other than the disco on the Saturday night. I think something like a games night or a movie night would have been more fun.”

Although the team didn’t win the tournament this year, both boys said that they “would love to go again” if asked to join the 2019 team. Here’s hoping next year we can go one step further.
