Become a Supported Lodgings Carer.

Supported Lodgings is where a young person over 16 years is provided with safe accommodation, guidance and support to help prepare them for living independently.

The goal of a Supported Lodgings placement is that that young person will progress, developing new skills and confidence and the level of support offered by the carer/provider will reduce as the young person moves towards greater independence and the eventual move to independent living.

Supported Lodgings carer’s provide accommodation, support and a family setting to young people typically between the ages of 15-18. These placements are identified as the children for a varying amount of reasons cannot live at home, but are not ready to live independently.
