Carer Training with a Twist.
Even in these strange days, as always, we are as busy as ever on the Assessment Team in Fostering First. The current situation has challenged us to be even more creative and innovative and we have been putting our heads together to come up with ways to continue to support our applicants on their fostering journeys.
To that end, we are now less than a week away from launching our first ever online Foundations for Fostering training course and we are so excited! This team effort has been supported by everyone in FFI; Senior Management, Link Workers, Placements Team, and of course our carers, have all played a part in the creation of this new online version of the Foundations for Fostering training.
However, real credit goes to our amazing applicants who are taking part in this training. Their motivation to become foster cares and to make a difference in a childs life, has meant that they are as excited to take this new course as we are to deliver it!
Hopefully the forecast for strong WiFi signals is good in Galway, Kilkenny, Wexford and Offaly over the next three weeks, as applicants from across the country begin this new training with us!
